Jean Pierre Thoma

Enjoy an evening together at the Volcano Art Center with the always swinging  JP Thoma and the Jazztones. This month featuring leader Jean Pierre Thoma on his collection of saxophones, pianist Alex Czerny, bassist Brian McCree, percussionist Noz Eads, and special guest sax master John Lundgren, joining us from Oahu.

A special presentation this evening is a performance by developing jazz pianist and vocalist, Parker Smith, an HPA student who will join us with a Brazilian bossa nova styling of “Autumn Leaves.

“Duke Ellington’s “Things Ain’t What They Used To Be” , continues this evening’s appreciation of the joys of life and its musical accompaniment. The moody “Harlem Nocturne”, leads to the final  Benny Goodman rouser ‘Sing, Sing , Sing  reminding us to go forth with optimistic joy.
