VAC’s May Hula Kahiko presentation will be in conjunction with the Hawaiʻi Volcanoes National Park Cultural Festival and BioBlitz, on Saturday, May 16th.
Hālau Ulumamo o Hilo Palikū’u under the direction of kumu hula Mamo Brown will perform in a one-of-a-kind outdoor setting at the kahua hula (platform) in the Hawai`i Volcanoes National Park. This presentation is free and open to the public and will be presented authentically in an outdoor setting, rain or shine without electronic amplification. Audience members are encouraged to bring sun/rain gear and sitting mats.
