VAC’s Hula Kahiko series continues on Saturday, August 15, from 10:30 – 11:30am, with a performance by Hālau Hula Kalehuaki‘eki‘eika‘iu under the direction of Kumu hula Ab Valencia. The performance takes place on the kahua hula (hula platform) located near the Volcano Art Center Gallery in Hawaiʻi Volcanoes National Park.This presentation is free and open to the public and will be presented authentically in an outdoor setting, rain or shine without electronic amplification. Audience members are encouraged to bring sun/rain gear and sitting mats.
