“The Soul Keys” by Alan D. McNarie at Volcano Art Center
Volcano Art Center presents local writer Alan McNarie as he releases his first novel titled “The Soul Keys”. The public is invited to two events hosted by VAC to celebrate this very special release. The first event, a book reading and signing with Alan will occur on Thursday, November 10th at 7:00pm at the Volcano Art Center’s Niaulani Campus in Volcano Village.
The reading promises to introduce the lovable characters Sander Keynes, his girlfriend Jenny, his talking Armadillo, Dick and the plot of this “playfully serious novel”. With sidebars on volcanology, linguistics, and anthropology, the reading will not disappoint those with a curious mind. This event is part of Thursday Nights at the Center, an evening series at the Volcano Art Center, focusing on art, Hawaiian culture and our environment. The program is free, but a $5 donation is greatly appreciated.
The second event, a book signing with Alan will occur at VAC’s annual Christmas in the Country on Saturday, November 26th from 11am -2pm at the VAC Gallery in Hawai’i Volcanoes National Park. This is a great opportunity to pick up the thought provoking read and have it signed or personalized for those hard to buy for folks on your list. The book signing event is free; however park entrance fees apply.
