Zentangle Dingbatz: Creating Ornamental Stamps for a Commonplace Book with Lois and Earl Stokes

In this class you will:

• Create Dingbatz or ornamental designs using the Zentangle Method.
• Learn how to create a book from envelopes: a thought catalog or hodgepodge book where you can add letters, poems, proverbs, quotes, reading & personal notes, recipes, or other information.
• Transfer your designs to foam stamps.
• Use Distress ink.
• Be inspired to use Dingbatz to decorate your Zentangle art, journals, plain notecards, envelopes, bookmarks, tags and more.

Zentangle is an easy-to-learn, relaxing and fun way to create beautiful images by drawing structured patterns. It is the repetitive nature of these patterns that brings us into a state of relaxed focus that some call meditation. If you can draw a dot, line, curved line, S shape and circle ~ you can create Zentangle art.

A basic knowledge of Zentangle is recommended but not required.

Cost is $35 / $30 VAC members plus a $10 supply fee.
