Thursday Night at the Center: ʻAlalā Outreach Presentation

Join the ʻAlalā Project staff on Thursday, January 18, 2018 from 7 – 8pm for a special outreach presentation on the ʻAlalā, Hawai‘i’s native crow, at Volcano Art Center Ni‘aulani Campus in Volcano Village.

The ʻAlalā Project staff will present an update on the most recent reintroduction efforts to establish a wild population of ʻAlalā, the endemic and endangered Hawaiian crow. Please join us to learn more about the recovery of the ʻAlalā, a highly intelligent and unique crow species, integral to the native Hawaiian ecosystems and culture.

The ʻAlalā Project is a partnership between the State of Hawaiʻi Division of Forestry and Wildlife, the US Fish and Wildlife Service, and San Diego Zoo Global. This event is free, although a $5 donation is greatly appreciated.

This evening is part of a once-a-month Thursday night series at the Volcano Art Center, focusing on art, Hawaiian culture and our environment.  The series is intended to inspire, enhance your appreciation of art and life experience, while fostering community connections.
