Aloha Friday – ʻUkulele with Kainani Kahaunaele

Aloha Friday cultural demonstrations are held each week from 11 am – 1 pm temporarily at VAC Niaulani Campus. This week’s offerings include: ʻUkulele with Kainani Kahaunaele.

Multiple Nā Hōkū Hanohano Award recipient Kainani Kahaunaele, shares her passion for all things Hawaiian.  Kainani works primarily through Hawaiian language revitalization and music, and has released two solo CD recordings.  She is also a teacher of ʻōlelo Hawaiʻi, music, and haku mele (composing) at Ka Haka ʻUla O Keʻelikōlani College of Hawaiian Language and Literature at UH Hilo, a wife, and mother of 3 budding musicians.
