Thursday Night at the Center: “Exit Through the Gift Shop”

August 13th will feature the film “Exit Through the Gift Shop” by the British artist Banksy, with host Elizabeth Miller.  Showtime is 7pm.

In this film by the brilliant artist, ironic social critic and famously anonymous British street icon, Banksy, we are introduced to the underground world of street art and to some of the young people whose talent and methods have been noteworthy enough to earn the admiration of their peers and to catch the attention of the art world.

The film was a 2010 Academy Award nominee for Best Documentary Feature. A free-for-all discussion to follow, plus a look at some examples of Banksy’s art.
