Glass Drop Earrings by Stacey Siegel

Stacey began weaving seed beads and working with stained glass as a young woman in the late 70’s. In the early 1980’s her interest in glass piqued and became more intimate. Her desire was to be the creator, the alchemist. She moved to the Big Island with her family in 1996, Stacey settled into her own studio space, setting up her furnaces and torch on their farm in South Kona.

She dubbed her new enterprise “Sieglass”. Stacey began a line of torch worked jewelry consisting of glass drops, handmade beads combined with her recycled hand-blown glass shards. Today she continues to stretch herself artistically, taking her glass…new and recycled…and combining it with different, out of the ordinary mixed media materials, thus creating whimsical wearable art.

To care for your jewelry:

Place your piece in the palm of your hand. Squeeze a drop of mild dish detergent into your hand. Gently scrub with a toothbrush, adding enough water to create suds, 30 to 60 seconds.

Rinse with warm water and place on a clean dry towel to drain. Your jewelry should sparkle when dry.
