WEAVE SIZE: 1/16” koana (width of pandanus strips used in plaiting, weft)
PATTERNS: maka ʻoʻeno (twill weaving), maka nēnē (pāwehe with a double row of triangles representing flying geese)
CLOSING: hiʻi (to finish an edge by folding forward or back to give a neat appearance)
MATERIAL: koʻo and ʻiokoʻo (white and light-green leaves near the center of a cluster of pandanus leaves)
