WEAVE SIZE: 1/8” koana (width of pandanus strips used in plaiting)
PATTERNS: ʻānoni bugle (weaving technique characterized by light and dark contrasting patterns),  maka ke ala pua (weaving pattern used to create a flower-like or petal-like design)
CLOSING: hiʻi (to finish an edge by folding forward or back to give a neat appearance) lū (scalloped braid)
MATERIAL: lau hala (The pandanus or screw pine, Pandanus odoratissimus)
