Zentangle®: ZIA & Found Poetry

April is Poetry month!
To celebrate our love of poetry, we will combine our passion for poetry and the Zentangle art form.
Found/Black Out Poetry is a method of using pre-excinting text to search and create new meaning from these written words.
- Overview of Found Poetry and its history.
- Guide 2/3 poetry warm up activities
- Methods for highlighting words: setting them apart from other text
- Using the Zentangle art form to enhance the look of our Found Poetry page.
I will guide our participants in poetry writing warms-ups to get our poetry juices flowing.
Student will also learn how to creatively join the Zentangle art method to decorate and highlight their choosen poetic words.
Student Kits: Zentangle’s Apprentice pen 05, Sakura gelly pen, stencil, loose pages of texts from reclaimed books and note book/paper.
No artistic or poetry writing experience is required; this class has been designed for beginners as well as experienced students.
Cost is $35 / $30 VAC members, plus $10 supply fee. Very light snacks provided.
