Zentangle® Inspired Art: Notan

Discover the Magic of Zentangle® and Notan art. Notan is the Japanese word for dark/light. This technique expresses the drama and power of black interacting with white in a dance of balance and harmony. The yin-yang symbol is an example of this interplay.
Lois and Earl Stokes will lead you in this exercise of Zentangle®, paper cutting and expanding the square.
Remember that you do not need to be a trained artist in order to create beautiful art with the Zentangle® method. In this class all you need to know is how to cut paper, paste and draw a dot, a line, a curved line and a circle.
Fabric artists, Hawaiian quilt makers and others will see how this technique can be applied to their work.
