Zentangle® Inspired Art: Five Ferns – Kupukupu
Saturday, February 18, 2017 | 10am – 1pm
Learn five deconstructed Zentangle®-inspired kupukupu fern styles, finding inspiration in the curving shapes of fronds. We will explore exaggerations and playful approaches to repetitive lines and blended color.
Bonus: To set our ferns in habitat, we will have a mini-exploration of a Zentangle®-inspired lavaesque pattern.
- Create 5 bijou tiles
- No artistic experience needed
- All tanglers welcome
- Watercolor experience helpful but not required
- Zentangle® basics helpful but not required
Returning tanglers are encouraged to bring your pencil and .05 pen and other tools of your choice. Loaner pens and pencils will be available. Cost is $35/$30 VAC members plus a $10 supply fee. Light refreshments are provided.
