Found Black-Out Poetry is a method of using pre-existing text to search and create new meaning from the words.
During this creative art adventure you will combine a unique form of writing poetry with the Zentangle art form, and view history and variations of the Found Poetry forms. You will also, find and Highlighting words, set them apart from other text, and enhance the page with tangles using the Zentangle method.
Students will learn to visually embellish pages using the Zentangle art method to frame and link their selected poetic words.
Suggested Materials: Assorted Sakura Gelly Roll pens, loose pages of texts from reclaimed books.
This class if open to all levels, no artistic or poetry writing is required. This workshop has been designed for beginners as well as experienced students.
Please bring a simple snack to share with others.
Cost is $35/$30 VAC members plus a $15 supply fee.
