In this interactive session, we will explore the dynamics of the soil food web, the various properties of the soil, and the fundamentals of soil testing at the homestead and farm scale.

Part 2: Composting. Ever wondered how to make compost that your plants will devour like dessert? Join us in this hands-on session as we explore strategies for dramatically enhancing the life-giving properties of the soil. Participants will gain experience constructing a biologically active compost pile, a home-scale worm bin, and applying compost tea sprays to plants and soil.
