Join artist Mary Milelzcik at the Volcano Art Center Gallery from 11 am to 1 pm on Wednesday, April 26th to paint Hope Flags. The Gallery is located in Hawaii Volcanoes National Park near the Visitor Center. All ages are welcome!
The Hope Flags are inspired by the handmade prayer flags sent to Pu‘uhonua o Puna a.k.a. “The Hub” during the 2018 lava flow. We are continuing this community-centered creative art project that fosters positive energy by bringing together one-of-a-kind works of art for the IMUA PUNA flag installation at Activate Puna, a benefit block party and concert, which takes place Saturday May 13th in Pahoa. https://www.activatepuna.com/
