Kanikapila jam sessions are held on Tuesday evenings, from 5:30 – 7:00 pm and are open to all musicians. Bring your own instrument and enjoy ‘garage style’ jamming. Donations gratefully accepted. Held at the Volcano Art Center Ni‘aulani campus.
You guys do mainland style too? Eagles, CCR, Marshall Tucker, Clapton, etc.? I’m outgunned & outclassed in Hawaiian – Johnny does sweet Island Style – but would love to jam mainland style too. Got hundreds of covers and decades of lyrics and styles, can’t read music, can’t do any of da twiddly bits down the neck, but got a solid rhythm 6-string & sing like a mother. Finally kama’aina again, need to garage jam. Can?
