Exhibit: Collection of Calabash

Opens on Saturday, February  26th – April 3rd,  2022, at the Volcano Art Center gallery in Hawaiʻis Volcanoes National Park. Opens daily from 9am -5pm.

This mixed media, multiple artist show will celebrate the calabash shape. The calabash (cal-lah-BASH) is a bowl or container often made of wood or a hollowed gourd. When used to refer to people, it implies a close friend or relative, i.e. someone so familiar he would eat out of the same serving bowl.

Participating artists include Tim Freeman, Wesley Buscher, Jelena Clay, Stewart Geller, Aaron Hammer, Frank McClure, Heather Mettler, Daniel Moe, Michael & Misato Mortara, John Mydock, Les Pedersen & Jeff Roth.
