Hawaiian Cordage Plants presentation with Linda Pratt

Join VAC in discovering even more about Hawai’i Cordage plants in this fee offering at the Niaulani Campus in Volcano Village.
Linda Pratt, a botanist with the U. S. Geological Survey, Pacific Islands Ecosystem Research Center, and Kilauea Field Station will discuss the botanical aspects, distribution and habitat and the life history of various plant species and show pictures. Linda has carried out botanical research in Hawaii Volcanoes National Park for more than 25 years and is the co-author (with Charles Stone) of Hawaii’s Plants and Animals: Biological Sketches of Hawaii Volcanoes National Park.
She holds a M.S. in Botanical Sciences from the University of Hawaii at Manoa and a B. S. in Biology from the University of Miami. Although this is a free offering please call 967-8222 to register.
