I am a retired educator serving Hilo and Kea’au communities for 36 years. I reside in Kurtistown with my Ohana and enjoy woodworking in my shop along with water sports and playing with my grandkids. I have enjoyed the beauty of the Hawaiʻi Volcanoes National Park for 38 years from mauka to makai. My art is comprised of Koa honu, paddles, surfboards, Makau, shadow boxes for leis, etc. which are found in and relevant to the park. My artwork incorporates Hawaiiana and the HVNP through Koa medium and items that are culturally relevant to Hawai’i nei.
