‘Ulu, print M13, by Dietrich Varez. “Ulu” is the Hawaiian word for breadfruit, a major food for the Hawaiians. The branches of the breadfruit tree are very brittle and many have been killed in pursuit of the fruit. Thus, the Hawaiians say that the entrance to the spirit world is from the branch of the breadfruit tree.
This is a giclée reproduction print on archival paper.
