“Fabric pieces for the seahorse were “fussy-cut” to fit the pattern and design, and then fused into place. Quilting around the background was done in a manner to represent ocean waves.
The seahorse is representative of a strong, peaceful and loving woman. The different fabrics in her body represent everything that makes her whole. Her head is soft and nurturing, she sings from her throat, her core is strong, and her tail brings joy, beauty, and love to the world. I was inspired by a relative that is the rock for her family.” -Linda Rowand
