| “This piece is a fabric collage stitched to a backing fabric and then overstitched using free-motion machine stitching. It is made from cotton fabric and some details have been painted (tephra). The daytime live-stream cameras capture the ever-changing landscape of the caldera and I wanted to convey the beauty of the layers of lava flow.” – Justine Dennis |
