“‘Yes, we have no Bananas’ was inspired by a grove of bananas growing near my home, and the ridiculous auction of a banana taped to a canvas at Art Basel for millions of dollars. This image is made with natural woods with an inlay technique called ‘marquetry’. The tape on the piece costs 2 cents, which is the same as my two cents worth of opinion.” -Paul
Paul apprenticed in Switzerland to become a journeyman/master in piano and church organ building, boat building in England, and marquetry and furniture making /restoration in Italy since 1977. He created custom marquetry art and furniture in CA from 1981 to 2018, is in collections worldwide, and is currently living/working in Hawaiʻi.
