“‘Moonlight Palms with Hōkūleʻa is a Triptych Wood Burned Oil Painting. I select the KOA wood grain that is the best fit for the idea I want. I build 3 panels, sand using 6 different grits, then burn every line of the composition into the wood, then finish with dozens of layers of Oil paint. I was inspired to by my partner Sculptress Crystal Lockwood” -David
