On July 12, the Volcano Art Center will present the next in our series of Jazz in the Forest, with “Disney Jazz -” Everybody wants to be a Cat”
JP and the Jazztones will remind us of the joys of the Walt Disney music over the years with songs done in jazz versions of Disney favorites
from many of the memorable classic as well as recent films of the Disney catalog – A Dream is a Wish Your Heart Makes – You’ve Got A Friend in Me –
Someday My Prince Will Come – Beauty and the Beast – Lady and the Tramp – and Soul. So many opportunities to Jazzify the great music
which has accompanied our lifetimes of song and memories.
The Jazztones will feature the vocals and keyboard artistry of Leslie Harlib, JP Thoma on flute, clarinet and saxes, as well as Owen Matsui on various percussion, additions to the menagerie.
Come join us at the Volcano Art Center on July 12 for a jazzy musical review of the best of the Disney offerings with the Cats – and wear your costumes to join the fun.
Tickets are $25 for VAC members ($30 non-members)! Ticket holders will be able to purchase beer, wine, as well as pupu. Doors open at 5pm.
