Kapa, print L60, by Dietrich Varez. This is a giclée reproduction print on archival paper. “Kapa” is the Hawaiian equivalent of cloth. It is made from the long fibers of plants related to mulberry. The cloth can be incredibly soft and durable. A form of printing was sometimes used to decorate the cloth with traditional patterns and designs.
