Kamehameha Lifting the Naha Stone, print L106, by Dietrich Varez. Features the legend of King Kamehameha lifting the Naha Stone. The legend states that whoever was to lift the massive Naha Stone would bring the islands together as one. Many tried, including those of the high ranking “naha” blood line. Not only did Kamehameha the Great move the stone, he also overturned it. The Naha Stone can be seen today in front of the Hilo Public Library.
