Harvesting Limu, print L42, by Dietrich Varez.  “Limu” is the Hawaiian word for seaweed.  There are many types of edible “limu” in the shallow waters of Hawaii.  Depicted here is a typical harvest scene.  Gathering limu was often done by the women.
