Halau Wa’a, print L45, by Dietrich Varez.    “Halau Wa’a” means canoe house in Hawaiian.  Under these long sheds, the work of finish construction and repair could be carried out.  A thatched roof on post and beam foundation was the traditional design for such a shed.
