“This is the first eruption of Mauna Loa I have witnessed. I have dreamed of seeing the Mauna erupt since moving to Hawai’i Island over 20 years ago. The eruption was the singularly most beautiful event I have seen. Being able to see and photograph Pele’s magnificent display of power and beauty was a spiritual experience.
