About The Artist: Carol was born and raised in Hawaiʻi. For many years she has lived and painted on a small farm in the village of Holualoa, in the heart of Kona’s coffee country.
Carol studied at the Honolulu Academy of Arts. After relocating to the Big Island of Hawaii, she began to paint island scenes and other subjects of interest, such as endangered animals and exotic rainforests, as well as scenes of traditional and contemporary Hawaiian culture.
The subjects she chooses to paint are moments, places and objects of beauty that she feels are important to appreciate, because many of these treasures may not be around in the future.
Carol paints with acrylic on paper and illustration board in a distinctive style. Her work is recognizable by its strong, but sophisticated colors and its enticing details and textures.
