This free community workshop is open to VAC members and is lead by Zach Mermel of Ola Design Group.
Concerned about the decline of forest cover in the Volcano area, and want to be part of the solution? In this hands-on workshop, participants will:
1) learn place-based strategies for increasing the biodiversity and resilience of native Hawaiian flora and fauna around their homescape, and
2) craft a schematic land design of their parcel, utilizing some of these patterns
Free cuttings of easy-to-grow endemic and indigenous plants will be distributed to all workshop attendees
