You’re invited to the Zentangle® Reticula and Fragments class with Iris Thornton, Certified Zentangle Teacher on Saturday, October 11th from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm, at VAC Niaulani Campus.
The Zentangle Method is an easy to learn, relaxing, and joyful way to create beautiful images by drawing structured patterns. The Zentangle Method of drawing breaks down patterns called tangles, into simple steps using basic strokes. There are many types of tangle patterns and techniques used to create them.
**This is an Intermediate to advanced class designed to guide the student into the truly magical and infinite world of Reticula and Fragments. The Introduction to Zentangle class OR previous drawing experience is recommended before taking this class. **
Reticula and Fragments is a system used in the Zentangle®Method, of creating tangles that begin with Reticula, which is a grid structure of ink-drawn lines that become the home to smaller pattern components we call fragments.
Students will learn techniques such as mirroring and rotation, along with the understanding of assembling different fragment patterns within various reticula grids.
Whether you are a beginner or experienced Zentangler, learning about Reticula and Fragments opens a whole new exciting world of exploration. Although it may seem complex when you look at a completed project, you are just drawing tiny little fragments, one at a time, that fit together like a puzzle.
At the completion of our class together, we will combine our individual creations to create one big, amazing mosaic! You’ll want to take photos. $35/ $30 VAC members, plus a $15 supply fee. Register Online Here or call 808-967-8222.
