Handbuilding with Diane Hanzel (8 Sunday sessions), Wednesdays, September 2 – October 28, from 3:30pm – 6:30pm. Refresh with a new creative outlet at our open and spacious ceramics studio located in a unique rainforest setting at Volcano Art Center’s Niaulani Campus in Volcano Village. Diane will be teaching strong fundamentals that are the foundation to help see your artistic vision through. You will start with pinch pot bubbles that can take you in lots of different directions. Then moving into slabs and adding textures and basic oxides and glazes. Learn how to manipulate the clay and work with it. Definitely Art from the heart.
Schedule: 8 Wednesday sessions
Class fee: $245/$220 plus a $20 supply fee, includes the first 6 lbs of clay (glazes, firing, labor). Additional clay available for purchase.
