No Kapa Left Behind by Dalani Tanahy
Hawaiian kapa and cotton fabric, 2003-2008
While traveling back and forth from Hawaii to Egypt to visit her husband, the artist spent many hours waiting in airports between flights. She had an idea to do patchwork quilting with her many scraps and pieces of kapa, creating the first of items from her “No Kapa Left Behind” line of artwork, notecards and jewelry.
