The Volcano Art Center’s Jazz in the Forest series continues on Saturday, December 2, 2023, at 5:30 pm at Volcano Art Center Niaulani Campus in Volcano Village. The evening features Jean Pierre Thoma and the Jazztones.
As we come “Home for Christmas” to Volcano, to “Go Tell it on the Mountain”, it helps to remember to give thanks for this “Wonderful World” and observe “Here Comes the Sun” and listen to the “Blackbird”s singing and invite us to “Wake Up Everybody” and get on the “Peace Train” An enjoyable “Christmas Song” of our “Favorite Things”, Owana’s “Hula Jazz” will bring a Hawaiian international flavor to the festive evening.
Nā Hōkū Hanohano Award-winning vocalist Owana Kaʻōhelelani Salazar will be featured with the Jazztones in this uplifting holiday concert. Jean Pierre Thoma will play saxophones and clarinet, Asha Azama will contribute keyboards as well as vocals, and Ken Vincent on bass and Owen Matsui on percussion will make our spirits light for the evening.
Please know that you are invited for a joyous and swinging evening of music up on the mountain at the Volcano Art Center.
Tickets are $25 for VAC members ($30 for non-members)!
Ticket holders will be able to purchase pupu, beer, and wine. Tickets are available for sale online at www.volcanoartcenter.org, or at VAC’s Administration Office in Volcano Village.
Tickets will be held at Will Call on the day of the show. OR, you may pick them up any day before the show at Volcano Art Center’s Niaulani Campus Administrative Office, Monday through Saturday, 10 am-4 pm.
