DESCRIPTION:Join Dr Lis Gallant\, an Assistant Professor in the Geology
  Department at UH Hilo\, for a lecture and Q+A session on the basics of
  volcanology at VAC Niaulani Campus (19-4074 Old Volcano Road)\, on Janu
 ary 29th\, at 6pm. The Island of Hawaiʻi is one of the greatest natural
  classrooms on Earth to learn about volcanoes. Each new eruption provide
 s a new set of questions to think about and try to answer! Have you ever
  wondered what causes a volcano to erupt\, why volcanoes have different 
 shapes\, or why some eruptions are explosive while others produce only l

 rt of a once-a-month Thursday night series at the Volcano Art Center\, f
 ocusing on art\, Hawaiian culture\, and our environment.  The series is

  although a donation to the Volcano Art Center is greatly appreciated.
