DESCRIPTION:The popular “Business of Art” workshop by Volcano artist
  Ira Ono returns to Volcano Art Center. He will help you navigate basic 
 business principles in this one-day intensive workshop. From the initial
  pros and cons of being your own boss to copyright basics to branding yo
 ur product\, you’ll discover what’s right for you and your art. This
  is a wonderful opportunity for fine artists and crafts people to gain u
 nique insights resulting in profitable solutions. Topics will include: P
 ricing your Product for Profit\, Focus on Galleries / Gift Shops / Depar
 tment Stores\, Trade Shows / Catalog Sales\, Visual Merchandising\, Affo
 rdable Display Techniques\, Fool Proof Presentations\, Internet Marketin
 g and Getting Free Publicity.\nThe “Business of Art” workshop will b
 e held Saturday\, May 23rd\, 2026\,  10am – 4pm at Volcano Art Center
  Niaulani Campus in Volcano Village. Cost for the full day workshop is $
 55 / $50 for VAC Members. Participants are encouraged to bring samples o

 rnationally known artist whose works are featured in the Hawai‘i State
  Art Museum and private collections in the U.S.\, Europe and Japan. He i
 s the founder of annual Trash Art Shows throughout the state and well ve
 rsed in every aspect of marketing fine arts and crafts here in Hawai‘i
  and beyond. Ira is also the owner and director of Volcano Garden Arts g
 allery in Volcano\, Hawai‘i where he exhibits his personal works along
  with over 100 local artists from across the state.
