SUMMARY:Stained Glass Workshop with Linda Brooks
DESCRIPTION:Whimsical shapes\, illustrative scenes or divine stories\, s
 tained glass has re-created the light in our lives for centuries. Staine
 d glass artisans use both glass color and texture to produce light forms
  and patterns creating mood and character in small and large spaces.\n\n
 This four-day stained-glass workshop will shed some light on the process
  of stained glass. Now you can try your hand at making stained glass art
  in this workshop for beginners. All the basic techniques will be covere
 d\, from glass cutting\, foiling\, soldering\, and completing with patin
 a and polishing compound. Glass artist Linda Brooks will share her exper
 tise and knowledge\, teaching students the skills involved in working sa
 fely with stained glass\, and creating a beautiful\, sturdy piece of art
 .\n\n“Stained Glass – An Introductory Class” will be held at Volca
 no Art Center Niaulani Campus (19-4074 Old Volcano Road) on Saturdays\, 
 January 10th - January 31st\, from 9am – 1pm. Class fee is $185/ $166 
 for VAC members\, plus a $35 supply fee. Attendees are asked to wear lon
 g pants\, snug fitting gloves\, covered shoes and safety glasses.\nYou w
 ill complete this 4-session workshop with a finished 12” x 18” piece
  with the knowledge and experience of the basic skills involved to conti
 nue working with stained glass. Linda Brooks has been making original st
 ained glass for forty years and teaching for the past twenty-five. She e
 njoys sharing with others and creating art that changes with the light a
 nd the time of day.Advance registration is required\, and this workshop
