DESCRIPTION:Volcano Art Center is proud to present Bearing Witness\, a p
 hotography exhibition featuring the works of Jill Briggs\, Cody Yamaguch
 i\, and Bruce Omori. The exhibition will be on view from October 4th to 
 November 9th from 9:00am to 5:00pm at the VAC Gallery in Hawaiʻi Volcan
 oes National Park with an artist opening on Sunday\, October 5th\, from 
 2 to 4pm. This powerful collection captures one of Hawaiʻi’s most ext
 raordinary natural events: the eruptive episodes of Kīlauea Volcano tha
 t began on December 23\, 2024\, and have continued with remarkable consi
 stency. Bearing Witness offers a rare opportunity to experience Hawaiʻi
 ’s eruptive landscape through three distinct artistic perspectives. Mo
 re than documentation\, these photographs serve as testaments: to nature
 ’s raw power\, to cultural reverence\, and to the intimate relationshi
 p between people and the ʻāina (land) that sustains them. This exhibit
 ion invites visitors to reflect on what it means to witness\, to remembe
 r\, and to honor the living volcano at the heart of Kīlauea.
