DESCRIPTION:Situated on Kīlauea volcano the Volcano Art Center (VAC) pr
 omotes and perpetuates arts and culture. The dynamic location inspires t
 he sharing of authentic Hula Kahiko performances as well as other arts a
 nd traditions of hula. VAC with support from Hawaiʻi Tourism’s Kukulu
  Ola Program is proud to announce free events which promote and perpetua
 te Native Hawaiian arts and culture. Join the Volcano Art Center on the 
 second Saturday of each month for a free\, live hula performance.\n\nThe
  Hula Kahiko scheduled for September 13th\, 2025 features Kumu Moses Kah
 o`okele Crabbe w/ Halauolaokalani  The presentation is presented authen
 tically in an outdoor setting\, rain or shine without electronic amplifi
 cation. Audience members are encouraged to bring sun/rain gear and sitti
 ng mats\, and to arrive early as parking at the Visitor’s Center is li
 mited\, additional parking is available at the Steam Vents parking lot. 
 The Volcano Art Center is a non-profit art and educational organization 
 created in 1974 to promote\, develop\, and perpetuate the artistic and c
 ultural heritage of Hawai‘i’s people and environment through activit
 ies in the visual\, literary\, and performing arts.
