Zentangle is an easy-to-learn, relaxing and fun way to create beautiful images by drawing structured patterns. There are no mistakes in Zentangle.At first glance a Zentangle art piece appears intricate and complicated. But, as you are guided through the process, you begin to realize how simple it can be and how the methods allows you to experience moments of calm
Join us in the week prior to the Spring Equinox as we make time to draw simple, repetitive strokes to create the complex design known as Paradox. When tangles are laid out next to each other with no gaps left between, meta-patterns emerge.
Learning Objectives:
- Introduction to the Zentangle Art Method
- Five elements: dot, straight line, S shape, C shape, & orb (. / s c o)
- Zentangle basic vocabulary
- Benefits of meditation through a mindful drawing practice
- Learning the basic steps of Paradox
Materials:
A Zentangle Grey tile kit will be provided that contains a Sakura 01 blue pen, mini blue pastel pencil, tortillon and grey tiles. Repeat attendees are welcome to bring their favorite pens.
The class will be guided with Zentangle’s traditional ceremony and methods that include:

This class is open to all levels, no Zentangle or art experience necessary.
The Cost is $35/$30 VAC members plus a $15 supply fee.
