Zentangle® The Inspiring Spiral

This class was inspired by a wonderful CZT, Inge Frasch, in the marvelous country of Bavaria. Inge created this class originally to honor the passing of souls loss to the Covid virus. Her tribute was originally the symbol of a cross. She redesigned her class using the universal symbol of the spiral. This workshop will cover a brief background and historical information about the spiral as a symbol as well as its meaning in many cultures around the globe and spiritual meanings. Students will be guided in the technique of add weighting to achieve the stained glass affect.
All materials will be provided, including Zentangle tiles and a selection of pens from Sakura of America.
Class will be guided with Zentangle’s traditional ceremony and method:
- Gratitude
- Appreciation
- Relaxation
- Mindfulness & awareness
This class is open to all levels, no Zentangle or art experience necessary. A brief overview of the Zentangle art method will be introduced to those new to Zentangle art.
Cost is $35/$30 VAC Members plus a $15 fee, inclusive of supplies. Due to social distancing guidelines, class size will be limited to 10 and CDC recommended face coverings must be worn during class. Pre-registration is required. Please bring your own refreshments. If you wish to share, please provide snacks in single-serve packaging.
