Sculpture Garden Tour

Come enjoy this free guided tour of Hawai’i Island’s first outdoor venue for sculptures at VAC Niaulani Campus in Volcano Village. The Guided Sculpture Garden Tours will begin at 9:00 A.M. on a Wednesday, March 16, 2022. Tour highlights include biographical information about the sculptors, their inspiration for the work, and technical information regarding the construction of each piece. The tours focus on deepening the understanding and appreciation of abstract sculpture in an inviting, walkable exhibit space created by landscape architect David Tamura. The tours will also include the grounds of the Niaulani Campus which also hosts two outdoor sculptures on loan courtesy of the Art In Public Places Collection from the State Foundation on Culture and The Arts and recently completed murals from VAC’s Community Mosaic Project.

The tours are led by VAC board member, and sculpture garden coordinator, Julie Williams. This event is proudly supported by The Hawai’i State Foundation on Culture and the Arts.

Can’t make it in person?   Take the  Sculpture Garden Tour on VAC’s Virtual Classroom platform!
