Jazz in the Forest: JP Thoma & the Jazztones

Come join us on July 13th at 5:30 pm. at the Volcano Art Center Niaulani Campus for a great evening of musical enjoyment. Featuring the music of George Gershwin .
George Gershwin was born in Brooklyn New York in 1911, and lived most of his short life of 39 years there creating some of the finest popular, jazz and classical music ever written. With his brother Ira, he wrote string quartets, opera, and an incredible number of popular jazz songs which are part of our daily menus.
This evening will feature songs from his opera, Porgy and Bess, as well as many other favorites Jean Pierre Thoma will provide the sax croonings, and Owen Matsuda will sing with his drums, bassist/ vocalists Joey Carroll, and guitarist /vocalist Greg Shirley.

Tickets are $25 for VAC members ($30 non-members)! Ticket holders will be able to purchase beer, wine, as well as pupu. Tickets are available for sale online at www.volcanoartcenter.org, or at VAC’s Administration Office in Volcano Village. The last day to purchase tickets online is Friday, July 12th.
After that, tickets will be sold at the door, if they are not sold out.
