Ready to take your take your Stained Glass skills to the next level? Now you can try your hand at creating your own stained glass table lamp. Join us for “Stained Glass II: Panel Lamp Project” which will be held at Volcano Art Center on June 24 & 25, July 1, 2, 8, 9: Saturday and Sunday from 9am-12pm.
In this class, you will explore the design and construction of triangle shaped table panel lamps. The techniques you’ll learn directly apply to other panel lamp shapes.
You will complete this 6-session workshop with a finished table lamp, and the knowledge and experience to continue working with stained glass.
Instructor Claudia McCall will provide the patterns, although students are welcome to bring their own designs. Note that custom patterns will need to be adapted to 3 panels each measuring 4 1/4” by 9”.
Advance registration is required and this workshop will be limited to 6 adults. Class fee is $150/$135 for VAC members plus a $15 supply fee. Students should have previous experience working with stained glass using the copper foil technique. Attendees are asked to wear long pants, snug fitting gloves, covered shoes and safety glasses.

More about Claudia McCall
McCall started working with stained glass in 2006 after a friend gave her a pretty little glass panel. She loved the way sunlight played through the different types of glass, and wanted to explore the possibilities. She has been exploring ever since. She creates stained glass in the copper foil technique when not occupied with her family farm in Volcano, Hawaii.
