The Volcano Art Center’s Sounds at the Summit series continues on Saturday, November 2, 2019 at 5:30pm at Volcano Art Center Niaulani Campus in Volcano Village featuring Wendell Ing with the release of his album, Jazz Avenue.

Jazz Avenue features jazzy versions of popular standards with touches of blues and country licks woven into a colorful tapestry of sound. These are some of classically trained Wendell Ing’s favorite songs. Some are well known, and others are gems from days gone by.  Hear a sample of the songs from his CD by clicking here!

Wendell Ing is a recording artist currently living on the Big Island, Hawaii. Previously he has released 4 CD’s of original music. This is his first album of cover songs, and it is an all instrumental recording of some of his favorite jazz standards. Three of his four prior CD’s were nominated for Na Hoku Hanohano Hawaii Music Awards. He was also the recipient of a Na Hoku Award for co-producing Diana Aki’s multiple award-winning album, Moments With You.

Tickets are $15 for VAC members ($20 non-members) and include a free copy of Jazz Avenue! Also included is a free raffle for a mug emblazoned with the Jazz Avenue CD design, to be awarded at the end of the concert.
