Love The Arts

Love the Arts 2020 – The Roaring 2020s ***SOLD OUT

Volcano Art Center (VAC) invites you to the 16th Annual Love the Arts (LTA) fundraiser on Saturday, February 8, 2020 from 5 – 9 pm at the Niaulani Campus in Volcano Village.  The annual gala is the main event to raise funds for the Volcano Art Center which offers classes, exhibits, workshops, and creative arts experiences in a unique inspiring environment.

This year’s theme is celebrating The Roaring 2020s, highlighted by unique decorations, decadent food, fine wines and beer, and of course dancing. The evening also features appearances by members of Harmony on Tap and opera singer D’Andrea Pelletier. Incredible live and silent auctions provide everyone an opportunity to bid on artwork, jewelry, hotel stays, restaurants, local products, services, and gift certificates to businesses and attractions.

Tickets are $70 or $65 VAC Members and are available for purchase at Volcano Art Center Niaulani Campus in Volcano Village, Volcano Art Center Gallery in Hawai‘i Volcanoes National Park, and ONLINE!

Your Love The Arts ticket also provides free admission to the LTA Valentine’s Day Dance held the following weekend on Saturday, February 15, 2020, from 6 – 10pm. Learn the Charleston and the Lindy Hop while enjoying live music by the Tin Pan Alleycats! Tickets for this event are $15/$10 VAC Members, or free with your Love the Arts ticket.

Each year we ask local artists to contribute their artwork for this event, to be auctioned in order to raise the needed funds to sustain  VAC programs and classes.  These artists and businesses who give to the event do so with the knowledge that their donation will have a direct impact on the survival of the Art Center. The Volcano Art Center is an integral part of this unique community offering a sense of belonging to those who live and work around it.

Volcano Art Center would like to thank Patron Sponsor, Ron Rigg of Elite Pacific Properties. VAC welcomes additional sponsorships for this event.  If you or your business/organization is interested in sponsorship opportunities please contact Mike Nelson at or by phone at (808) 967-8222.
